About The Greener Way

Diver | Marine Scientist | Adventurer

The face behind the name … is Kelly.

Growing up diving around different coastlines in the UK and abroad, I've seen significant environmental shifts. In my lifetime shoals of fish have disappeared from dive sites, seabed’s have become barren and marine life has become more encased in plastic.

Driven by the need to explore, learn and understand I went on to study Oceanography and the wonderful marine world. With this, I’ve spent my life around academics, communicators, artists, activists and the like where there’s often a common theme … we aren’t all signing from the same hymn sheet. A lot of this comes down to communicating, and communicating in the right way.

So … my intention here is to write about subjects and issues that are very topical today, and that will be topical in the future that will educate myself, but also grow a community of conscious people to help get the right information out there.

This is a space to debate, discuss and share stories and topics important to our planet and our way of life. I hope this blog provides something for everyone, whether you're an expert, already environmentally conscious or a curious wanderer and complete beginner in the field of marine conservation and sustainable living.

They say you only care about what you understand, from what you are taught, and that's my goal here; for you to care as much as I do. All views are my own.

Kelly.
