Thanks for joining me!
This is really just a post to say hi, and welcome to ‘The Greener Way’.
Until about 50 years ago, the effects of our actions on our environment were never really considered. Now, plastic pollution, renewable energy, conservation efforts and extinctions are on our screens every day. The number of people who care about the issues of our climate is rising, as we start to realise those accelerating changes to our environment faster than ever before in our paleoclimatic history, is us.
My focus is predominately on our oceans, and their role in everything we do. However, climate change and our everyday influence is a complex and intricate problem, on shore and out in the big blue. This blog aims to talk about all and everything in between, from research, recent news, ongoing issues and politics to success stories, diving, things you can do at home, and the silent stories you don’t hear about in the news.
Never have our oceans been in so much danger, it’s time to do our part and grow this community.

“Even if you never have the chance to see or touch the ocean, the ocean touches you with every breath you take, every drop of water you drink, every bite you consume. Everyone, everywhere is inextricably connected to and utterly dependent upon the existence of the sea.” – Sylvia Earle
